BBB offers warnings for purchasing tickets

The Better Business Bureau of Northern Indiana wants to warn football fans before they lose money. The BBB is reminding people to watch out where they buy their tickets for sporting events.

Officials recommend thoroughly checking out a website before buying tickets for upcoming football games.

“The unfortunate part is they are so anxious to get the tickets they don't check these out before hand and that's what we hope to accomplish people will investigate before investing,” said Dreama Jensen, of the Better Business Bureau.

Jensen suggests using a site that has the BBB’s seal of approval. Some sites also include a picture of the ticket which can verify its authenticity.

It is also important to never pay with a personal check or cashier's check, you should use a credit card because they offer more protection.
