Molly Brannigans, a traditional Irish pub and restaurant, celebrated its groundbreaking Thursday at the Heritage Square Shopping Center.

The menu will feature Irish fare, including fish 'n' chips, shepherd's pie and Guinness. Moreover, the 1400 square feet of outdoor patio space makes the restaurant one of the largest patios in the area.

"There's great Irish heritage here and the developers are going to capitalize on that. All the goods and decorations, everything is straight from Ireland. It’s really a chance to celebrate that Irish heritage and for folks to come and enjoy true Irish cuisine," said Mishawaka mayor Jeff Rea.

The restaurant is scheduled to open in the middle of winter.

James I must tell you, you are a douche bag full of bogus information. There have been no such lawsuits and debt that mention...All 5 of the Molly Brannigan's pubs are thriving, even in this horrible economic climate. Ratings nationwide are up. Sales are up. Food and Service is unique and second to none. Don't be such a wanker!

James is correct. These people at Molly Brannigans leave a trail of lawsuits as they cross the country, mostly due to unpaid bills during and after onstruction. South Bend won't be immune to this behaviour. Someone will be eating it on this location also.

During a recent trip to the states i visited both Molly Brannigans in Harrisburg & pittsburgh and i can report they are both alive, well and still kicking. I own and run an irish Bar in london and i gotta say i was well impressed not only with the service but also the detail put into the design. Sure it was like stepping into a little piece of Ireland. James, you sound like a disgruntled ex. employee. I had a great time and cant wait for Mollys to open in Mishawaka as i have friends there. Go Irish.

This company has numerous locations that are "under construction" with no activity: Las Vegas, Tampa, and Cleveland being a few of them. Cleveland broke ground a year ago & is now sitting closed, half finished. The 3-year-old Pittsburgh location is in forclosure & the sheriff's sale is on September 4th: Thread: Sept 07 aka 399 Aug 07. Pittsburgh Irish Pubs, LLC: GD-05-23271—$597,968.36, Joseph A. Fidler, Esq.,Grenen & Birsic, P.C. All the following described real estate situated in the Municipality of Mt. Lebanon, Cty of Allegheny, PA. Having erected thereon a dwelling being known and numbered as 660 Washington Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. DBV 12205, pg 89, B/L #141-F-38-1. The original, Erie PA location is batteling 5 lawsuits- drunk driving accidents from St. Paddys 2005. They notoriously pay the lowest in the industry, & is also rumoured that their 2nd location in Harrisburgh, PA is also going to auction. Mayor Rea &community needs to do research before welcoming folks like this.

Thats our Mayor Jeff Rea supporting more minimum wage jobs and bars so that the people can eat, drink, and get ticketed for Driving under the influence since there are no sidewalks to get there for the people that don't drive. Go Irish!!
