Roseland's financial problems once again are front and center of the town's troubles.

At Friday night's meeting town council member David Snyder re-iterated Roseland's budget problems.

Snyder suggested eliminating the police department and relying on the St. Joseph County police department instead.

Meanwhile Roseland residents are worried about what they will do without a full time police force.

“It is the only place left that we can cut. We also need to raise capitol and I outlined that in June. The town hall does need to be sold and we can rent it back in a year or two and anything we can sell we need to sell,” says Snyder.

There are four full time Roseland police officers and four reserve officers.

It's been six weeks since they have been paid but Friday night the town council voted to pay for one pay period.
