Senator Carl Levin is leaving today for Iraq, where he planned to meet with leaders of that country.

The difference this time around, Levin says, is that most Americans want to change course in the war.

Levin last traveled to Iraq in October, before American voters gave Democrats power in Congress.

The Michigan Democrat says he will tell Iraqi leaders that they must accept responsibility for their country.

While the U-S military has claimed recent successes in Iraq, the political process has stalled.
