Power was restored Saturday night to over 600 Granger homes, after a power outage was caused by a car crash.

The accident happened around 2 p.m. at Adams and Pine Ridge. That's between Gumwood and Grape roads. A car ran into an electrical pole, and the pole fell on top of the car.

Clay fire crews say the car went off the side of the road and hit the pole. The driver suffered minor injuries and refused treatment, but was arrested by police for having prior offenses.

AEP reported that over 600 homes were without power in the area. The power was restored by 9:30 p.m.
