Juan Manigault said Friday will be his last day as CEO and president of the Workforce Development Group.
Manigault said it was difficult to resign after working there 20 years, but he wants to show that he is serious about his run for mayor.
“As you know, you can't serve two masters. My time needs to be focused on winning this race, representing the citizens of South Bend, listening to their concerns, and presenting my ideas and plans for the city of South Bend,” said Manigault.
According to Manigault, it is a “24-7” commitment to campaign for the election on November 6, 2007.
He said the Board of Directors has appointed Kay Cochran interim president and CEO of Workforce Development, which serves Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall and St. Joe counties.
