Chick-Fil-A grand opening draws large crowd

Fast food fans had fun Thursday morning in hopes of landing some free food.

Almost 200 people camped out hours before the doors of the new Chick-Fil-A restaurant opened in South Bend with the hopes of receiving a year's supply of free combo meal coupons.

"We had all kind of things going on last night. We had tents,we had Nintendos. Poker games were going on home school groups were doing school work activities and so forth last night. We had a lot of things that were going on we had a lot of fun and games. We had a DJ that was here," said Dan Cathy, President of Chick-Fil-A

The new restaurant is in the 4500 block of South Michigan Street.
