Amish Acres Festival attracts large audience

Every year the Nappanee Festival brings in 350 artists and craftsmen from 34 different states.

On Thursday, fairgoers tried to stay cool while looking at the unique displays.

In the past, attendance for the nationally recognized festival has hit 70,000.

Despite the heat, vendors said, they still expect big crowds this year.

"Well, we know its going to be warm, but that's not unusual in August. We always have wonderful customers here, I've got customers that I've had coming back to my booth for 10,12,14 years," said crafts vendor Shari Mauer.

The Amish Acres Festival runs until Sunday.
