An elderly man is in the hospital Friday night after he crashed his car into a Mishawaka home improvement store.
Friday evening around 6:15 police say 74-year-old Bernard Morgano had a problem with his pacemaker that startled him. The problem caused him to accelerate into the Home Depot parking lot off of Indiana Ridge.
His SUV hit another car, kept going, and ran into the wall of the building.
Morgano was treated for a broken leg and dislocated shoulder. His granddaughter was a passenger in the car, she suffered minor facial injuries.
No one else was hurt.
