The second day of testimony in Charlie Weis' lawsuit against two Boston doctors finished late in the day on Tuesday in Boston.
Weis was expected to take the stand today in Suffolk County Court, but he was not called to testify.
The Irish head football coach will likely be questioned on Wednesday.
Weis is seeking unspecified damages after he nearly died after undergoing surgery in 2002.
He developed post-operative complications, the most serious of which was massive internal bleeding.
Weis slipped into a coma and was in grave condition for several days.
The defense testified that bleeding after gastric bypass is a possible risk with that kind of surgery.
