BMV Computer Glitch Has Been Repaired

Technicians have fixed a computer hardware problem that led to long lines at Indiana license branches Saturday.

The state government computer network was bogged down Saturday when a router installed earlier in the week malfunctioned.

The network problems slowed the BMV’s ability to process license plate and driver's license renewals.

BMVs were particularly busy due to a looming deadline for registration renewals.
