Harbor Shores Project Seeks Permits For New Golf Course

A massive Harbor Shores project in the St. Joseph - Benton Harbor area is working to get the necessary permits to start a new golf course.

This week Benton Township planners heard a request from the developer for a special use permit to move 80 cubic yards of dirt for the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course.

According to our news partners at WSJM, the construction will be on the east side of M-63 and Golf Road.

The planning commission has referred the request to the land use committee.

There will be a public hearing on the matter at 7pm July 26, 2007 at the Benton Township Hall.
