Runner Takes Off Again

A woman running around the world said goodbye to Goshen on Saturday.

Earlier this week we introduced you to Rosie Swalepope, a woman from the U.K. who is running around the world to raise awareness of cancer.

But she got held up in Goshen when a lump made her worry she may have cancer herself.

She received good news when it turned out to be negative and on Saturday she had to say goodbye to her new friends at the Goshen Cancer Center.

“I’ve gone 21,000 miles, gone through 38 pairs of shoes and it’s worth all of it to go to Goshen. This is a beautiful state; I've received so much kindness here. I love Goshen,” said Swalepope.

“I've even got my special Goshen mascots. They're two young ladies called Kate and Emily, and they are fantastic,” continued Swalepope.

Her trip is almost complete; she is now on her way to New York City.

Once she arrives there, she will take a plane to Wales and her journey will be finished.
