Governor Mitch Daniels announced today that the BMV and Hoosier car dealerships are teaming up.
With the “one-stop shop” partnership, people will be able to get their BMV paperwork done at the same place they buy their car.
So far, fourteen dealerships across the Hoosier state have signed up for the program.
By the end of the year Daniels expects about fifty to be involved.
“I hope it will become a matter of competition. It’s a new customer offering that I hope most of these businesses will choose to make available as a further attraction to the customer,” said Gov. Daniels.
The goal is to reduce the number of times Hoosiers need to physically go to the BMV.
Indiana joins 25 other states in offering titling and registration services at dealerships.
