Officials Determine Cause of VIM Fire

Officials have determined the cause of the deadly fire at the VIM Recycling Plant.

According to authorities, a mulching machine is to blame.

Moreover, an investigator with the State Fire Marshal's Office says last week’s fire at VIM was accidental.

According to Jeff Roseboom of the investigation division, friction build up inside the machine caused explosions that sparked the fire.

The Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating to see whether any of its rules were violated.

VIM's president says the company is cooperating with authorities.

One man was killed and another was seriously injured in the fire.
