On Wednesday, city officials introduced a new set of wheels to South Bend.
Now tourists can see the sights and sounds of the city on a segway.
The transport vehicles are driven by shifting your weight in the direction you want to move and can reach speeds of 12.5 miles per hour.
Riders will get to cruise around the East Race Waterway and attractions like the Studebaker and Oliver mansions, museums and the College Football Hall of Fame.
“It’s more of a narrated-type tour where we’re pointing out some of the highlights of South Bend, some of the attractions, just a little bit of a history tour, and a riding experience,” said Rocky Papandria, of Segway of Indiana.
The East Race Segway tours are offered every day to people over 14 and they cost $45 for an hour.
