The U93 Morning Crew joins efforts with Martin’s Supermarket at State Road 23 and Ironwood for five days beginning Monday, June 18th at 9am to Friday, June 22nd till 6pm.
U93 Morning Crew broadcasts information about abuse and its prevention for approximately 12-15 hours a day, creating enormous community involvement to raise money and awareness.
To date, U93 and their partners have raised over $1 million!
Funds raised stay in the local community and benefit counties in Southern Michigan (Cass & Berrien counties) and Northern Indiana (St. Joseph, Elkhart & LaPorte counties.
Here are a few of the Child Abuse Prevention Programs and Projects funded through proceeds from U93's Roofsit:
El Campito, New Carlisle Olive Township Public Library, St. Margaret’s House, Women’s Care Center, Shaken Baby Syndrome presentations, Healthy Relationship Programs, Foster Care Programs, Healthy Families, Parents As Teachers, Nurturing Parenting Programs, When to Say Yes, When to Say No, Community Centers, Advocacy Centers, Building Blocks Preschool and Fetal Alcohol Projects.
The entire U93 staff is involved and stand behind this event. It is a cooperative effort with Martin's Supermarket, Friends of Child Abuse, local businesses, listeners and the Michiana community.
