Firefighters who battled the blaze at VIM Recycling may have had a feeling of déjà vu.
This is not the first fire to occur at the plant.
In August 2005, a fire broke out at VIM and four fire departments were called in to battle the blaze.
The cause of that fire was never established, but nobody was injured.
Back in March of 2003 there was another fire at the plant, after a pile of scrap lumber somehow caught fire.
During that fire, hoses were not the only thing used to put out the blaze as emergency workers also used bulldozers.
Over 21 different fire departments from both Elkhart and St. Joseph County fought that fire.
