An Indianapolis woman who was accused of dangling her baby over an apartment balcony was in court on Thursday.
Margaret Figley, 24-years-old, is charged with neglect of a dependent and criminal recklessness.
She pleaded “not guilty.”
Police were called to Figley’s apartment on Sunday.
Police say she dangled her son over the balcony when her boyfriend refused to take the infant with him.
“With her boyfriend, apparently that is what started it. Maybe it could be a cry for help,” said Lt. Jeff Duhamell, of the Indianapolis Police Department.
The child was not hurt and all three of Figley’s children have been turned over to her mother.
Figley is in the Marion County Jail and is being held on a 30,000 dollar bond.
