Pharmacy Robbery in Mishawaka

Two Mishawaka men are facing charges tonight after police say they robbed a South Bend Walgreen’s and stole three bottles of a prescription painkiller.

Police say Charles Shenenberger and Christopher Barber hit the Walgreen’s on Ironwood Monday night.

Officers say the suspects had a gun and demanded the painkiller Oxycontin.

Police say the two left with almost 1,500 dollars worth of the drug.

The pharmacist got on the store’s public address system and let everyone know there had been a robbery.

A husband and wife who had been shopping followed the suspects, leading police to them.

The St. Joe County Pharmacy Association says this shows the local pharmacy crime watch program is working.
