New Driver’s Licenses for Indiana

Fort Wayne was the first to introduce the new licenses Friday.

Lawmakers were on hand in Fort Wayne to see the new license.

State senator Tom Wyss was first in line at the license branch.

The biggest change is that those under 21 will now have licenses with a vertical format.

All of the licenses will also have all-new security features.

Another benefit is that they will cost 99 cents to make, as compared to the current $1.30.

The first new licenses will be issued starting on Friday in Fort Wayne, but we will have to wait a little longer in Michiana.

All of Indiana’s BMV branches will be updated by early August.
