Superintendent Search Coming to an End

The search for a new Benton Harbor school superintendent is coming to an end.

Superintendent Dr. Paula Dawning recently stepped down and the school board has been looking for her replacement.

Thursday night, the final two candidates – St. Joseph superintendent Carole Schmidt and William Harrison, a retired superintendent from Kalamazoo – will be interviewed during a public meeting at Benton Harbor High School.

The meeting starts at 5:15 and a final decision is expected to be reached by Friday.
