Ten-Year-Old Dies in House Fire

A 10-year-old girl died in a house fire early Wednesday morning. The blaze began around 4AM on Parkview Place in South Bend.

Five people where in the home at the time of the fire, which investigators believe started in the back bedroom of 10-year-old Molly Ridenour. The young girl died of smoke inhalation.

Molly’s parents, Kevin and Becky, were asleep in a basement bedroom when the fire began.

Their other children, AJ and Sophie, were not injured in the fire.

Fire officials are still not sure what caused the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
