The city of South Bend was celebrating Tuesday night by bringing people downtown.
The May activity for the "City Celebration" was outside the Morris Center this evening.
Tasty treats and a carnival atmosphere greeted folks as they mingled around the Jon Hunt Plaza.
“Fun by the Fountain” is part of a year long series of events, highlighting parts of South Bend.
“On the 29th of every month we're highlighting a different spot in South Bend that has something to offer for families. Tonight we're down in front of the Morris Performing Arts Center in the Jon Hunt Plaza,” said Jennifer Jackson of the South Bend mayor’s office.
Next month, the city is showing the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” on a big screen in Leeper Park.
