There is a lot to see and do in a century, and one Niles woman can attest to that.
Celia Spaniol celebrated her 100th birthday Tuesday.
Several friends, even President Bush, have all sent her well wishes.
As she celebrates her birthday Tuesday, Celia reflects on a life dedicated to serving others.
She grew up in Hammond, and ran a gift shop from her home.
She also worked at Cass County Medical Care and volunteered for the council on aging in Cassopolis.
Celia's secret to longevity?
Clean living and keeping busy.
Spaniol said, "Just live a good clean life and help other people when you can help them."
She added, "The lord helped me more than anybody else because he gave me pretty good health."
Helping others is not Celia’s only motto.
She says she also never smokes or drinks.
