Notre Dame’s Old to Gold yard sale had a slight resemblance to running with the bulls.
Doors opened Saturday morning at 7am and the massive line of people stormed in.
Old to Gold is a unique rummage sale because all the items on sale were left behind by Notre Dame students. Regardless of the students’ donation intents, thousands of people came searching for bargains.
With shoes as low as $2, bikes for $10 and flat screen televisions for only $50 shoppers benefited from great prices.
"I just want to get to the cash register so I can get from this place to the next place before everything is gone," said shopper Pam Mollette.
While several shoppers received great deals, Old to Gold was not only about getting a good discount. In addition to providing shoppers with reduced prices, all of the money raised will go to local charities.
