WUBS Radio Station Honors Yolanda King

People in Michiana are mourning the death of the eldest daughter of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Junior.

Yolanda King, 51, died on Tuesday in Santa Monica, California.

Friday a group of people gathered outside WUBS Radio Station in South Bend to look back on her life.

Many folks simply wanted to express their feelings and love for the King family. "She is the daughter of two great people who have died before her, and I think it is important to remember those children who had to go through the struggle with those parents as they prepared to try to make the world a better place for all citizens," explains NAACP President, Trina Robinson.

Family members say Yolanda King had a history of heart problems, but her cause of death has not been released.
