Friday some South Bend students were busy building skills for the future.
Kindergartener's and special education students at Warren Primary Center were busy building birdhouses.
Teachers say it was a way for the students to learn life and motor skills.
These students did not have to tackle the task alone.
Members from the Lydick Lions Club volunteered their time to assist in the building process.
Diana Jasinski, Warren Primary Center says, “Some of the fine motor skills are very helpful for them plus working with another adult than just the personal in the school too. It's a great experience for them.”
Lowe's donated the supplies for the birdhouses.
