A 22-year-old Elkhart mother is in jail connected to an apparent child abuse case.
Paula Braden was arrested this Wednesday evening.
She is accused of aggravated battery.
Braden's 7 week old baby was taken to the hospital on Sunday with a skull fracture and bleeding on the brain.
Thet the infant's condition is improving.
Police say the baby's injuries are no longer considered life threatening.
The investigation is now in the hands of the Elkhart county prosecutor's office.
