State fire officials are investigating a blaze that destroyed several businesses and apartments near Indianapolis Tuesday morning.
The fire started around 3:30 in downtown Crawfordsville, and then spread to neighboring buildings.
Five fire departments were called in to help and it took several hours to get the fire under control.
Walls collapsed and so did the roof of some apartments buildings.
Police are not saying whether anyone was hurt or killed.
Crawfordsville is 40 miles west of Indianapolis.
