As you enter into South Bend, you will notice a new sign.
It recognizes the state championship wins of the Adams High School Mock Trial Team.
Mayor Steve Luecke was on-hand Thursday to present the sign.
The legal Eagles have won seven consecutive state titles.
Four of those years, the championship round was Adams verses Adams.
Mayor Luecke said, “To have that presence and be able to go into a court room and to be a lawyer, be a defendant, be a witness, I think is great experience for any kind of public job. Hopefully some of them will decide on some careers in government and become elected officials in future years."
The mock trial team has almost 90 members and they make up 10 different teams.
Next weekend, the championship team will compete at nationals in Dallas.
