Shooter's History

Questions still linger about the background of the gunman---prosecutors say shot the two police officers.

45-year-old Scott Barnaby was killed by police at the Wooden Indian motel.

Barnaby had been staying at the motel for the past month.

Guests say he kept to himself and was a loner.

In fact, the manager of the Wooden Indian says he never received any mail, phone calls or visitors.

In 2001, Barnaby was arrested for domestic violence, a D.U.I., resisting arrest, and reckless driving!

“I never seen anything going on with him never seen anything wrong he didn't cause no trouble to me he was an alright guy,” says motel guest Jerry Sanchez.

Barnaby has a driver's license from Nevada where is father currently lives.

Ironically Barnaby went to LaSalle High School. It is the same school Corporal Nick Polizzotto graduated from.
