One local restaurant is remembering Corporal Polizzotto.
Nick Polizzotto was a frequent visitor to the Friday's restaurant on Ireland in South Bend.
Employees say the officer would visit the restaurant nearly every day.
With those frequent stops to the restaurant employees got to know the officer for the kind of man he was. “Yeah, he was in here everyday. He was a big part of Fridays. We all loved him we all still do love him,” explains Friday’s employee Dayna Baxter. “All of us talked to him, shared our personal problems, we knew his son.”
A picture of Corporal Polizzotto now hangs on the wall at the restaurant.
To remember the officer all employees are wearing ribbons on their uniforms.
