A Clay high school freshman is being closely watched, after threatening to harm himself and others.
The South Bend school district says the student made several verbal threats Wednesday.
Superintendent Dr. Robert Zimmerman wants parents and students to know the situation is under control!
“He was serious in his threat, but not necessarily capable of carrying out what he was threatening” says Dr. Zimmerman.
“In working with the family, they've assured us he doesn't even have the capabilities of what he was threatening. Nonetheless, we have to take it serious."
Dr. Zimmerman tells us the student has been removed from school.
He says he wanted to get the correct information to parents, because several false rumors had been circulating.
The Student is being closely watched Thursday night.
