Saturday was the one year anniversary of a sad day in South Bend.
Police Corporal Scott Severns was shot on April 21st, 2006 and died two days later.
Severns was shot during an attempted robbery on Clover Street in South Bend too keep a woman he was with from being shot.
Two teenagers are charged in connection with the shooting and face trials later this year.
In the wake of Severns' death, the South Bend Community showed an outpouring of emotion, with many touching tributes.
The community will remember him once more today with a candlelight vigil at South Bend's Police Headquarters.
The public is welcome to attend the service at nine o'clock in the evening.
