CDC officials say they are expecting to have 132 million doses of the flu vaccine ready for the 2007 to 2008 flu season.
Over 200 million Americans are recommended to get a flu shot including children and the elderly, pregnant women and people with chronic medical conditions.
However not everyone who needs a shot gets one.
This year more than 18 million doses of the flu vaccine will be destroyed because they were not used.
