Indiana Has New Rules For Lethal Injections


State prison officials in Indiana will start doubling the amount of anesthetic given during lethal injections.

Attorneys defending a legal challenge to Indiana's execution process recently disclosed the change.

Three condemned inmates claim in a federal lawsuit that the State Department of Correction's execution protocol constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.

They say it will not prevent inmates from feeling unnecessary pain.
