Lawmakers Change The Focus To Education

With just over one week left in the 2007 legislative session, Indiana lawmakers are turning their attention to education.

The House and Senate both want spending increases for schools, but just how much is up for debate.

Senate Republicans are proposing a 3.5% increase in each of the next two years.

House Democrats want to see a 4% jump.

Full-day kindergarten, one of Governor Daniels' top priorities, is included in both proposals.
