Lawmakers Approve Slot Machine Plans

Indiana lawmakers approve plans to put slot machines at horse racing tracks.

There are major differences between the two proposals.

If tracks are not willing to pay enough in licensing fees, the senate wants to auction off the licenses to the highest bidder.

Then, that money would to go toward property tax relief.

Members of the House say the state should not rely on slot machine revenue to help with property taxes.
