Stopping the brain drain was the goal of a networking night in Elkhart this evening.
The Elkhart Chamber's Leadership Academy sponsored the meeting between high school seniors and local business owners.
The event called "Together for Tomorrow" tried to get students excited about opportunities close to home.
“To kind of see if we could help at least move the trend of these students going away to the big cities instead of coming back to Elkhart where they grew up, and hopefully come back here, raise their families and help contribute to the overall economy's success as a whole," says Matt Gerard of National City Bank.
Seniors from Elkhart Central and Memorial, Concord, and Jimtown high schools took part in the event.
