Odd Couple Makes A Buzz On Local Golf Course

They say love is blind and that certainly seems to be the case at one local golf course.

For the past five years, a small coyote has become a frequent visitor to the Morris Park Country Club in South Bend.

Golfers say he is about 40 pounds and is a little smaller than a lab.

Now, he seems to have made a friend and this odd couple is creating quite the buzz.

"There are the deer and the coyote kind of playing together out on the golf course," said Josh Thompson, Assistant Golf Pro.

He continued, "Funny things happen while you're out on the golf course. Rumor has it this coyote is a scratch golfer as well."

The unusual pair usually likes to make an appearance around breakfast.

In all the years, the coyote has been hanging around no one's bothered to name him.

Thompson jokes that he would not be surprised if someday the country club changed its name to Coyote Run Golf Course.
