Holocaust Remembrance Hits South Bend

Holocaust victims were remembered today at the St. Joseph County Courthouse in downtown South Bend.

Dozens of people read the names of thousands of Holocaust victims throughout the day Wednesday.

Survivors of the Holocaust lit candles in remembrance of those who lost their lives during World War II.

Ethel Bartky of the Jewish Federation said, “We all need to try and do our best so that we can ensure that there is not another holocaust ever.”

Holocaust Remembrance Day was Monday.
