A former Virginia Tech student wants to give back to all the students impacted in Monday's deadly shooting.
Deborah Imhoff, a 1998 graduate, is preparing care packages.
Her goal is to send a care package to all 26 thousand students.
Imhoff and her friends are now gathering candy and other treats and packing them into bags.
She hopes these packages will bring a smile to the student's faces and let them know people all over the world are thinking about them.
Imhoff said, “When you are a half a world away and that is the campus that you walked on and that is where I took my classes, Norris Hall, it is just a feeling of dread.
She continued, “I know hot chocolate's not going to save the world, but it's something that is comforting.”
Imhoff plans to drive to Virginia from Houston, Texas to deliver the care packages in about a week.
