Research Fights Pancreatic Cancer

Meanwhile, researchers at the University of Pittsburgh are making strides against pancreatic cancer with the help of an experimental vaccine.

The vaccine is made up of a patient's own cells and a protein that is associated with the disease.

It is designed to trigger a patient's immune system to fight the cancer.

However the study found that 12 patients got the shot three years later four of them no longer had evidence of the disease.
