Star Graduates Prepare for Job Market

They are armed with the right skills and now they are ready for the working world.

Today, these nine Star Graduates from the South Bend Center for the Homeless graduated for following the “Star” motto which means; skilled, trained, able and ready.

For five weeks the students learned about writing resumes, interviewing and all the skills needed for the working world.

Today, the graduates reflected on their hard work.

Star graduate Kingsley Wallace says, "I don't know most of you by name. But I know you've put something into me and I wish I put something into you. The sun is out, I’m ready to shine!"

On any given day, the Center for the Homeless is home to two-hundred people and programs like star help all residents get back on their feet.
