Tax relief could be on the way to Michigan businesses and homeowners, under a new proposal.
Under the proposal, businesses in Michigan would pay no taxes.
Individuals would pay only property taxes and a higher sales tax.
The proposal could be on the November 2008 ballot.
Before that happens, 2/3 of the House and the Senate would have to approve the proposed Constitutional Amendment.
Those in favor of the bill say, it would help boost Michigan business.
