Bullying More Common in School than Previously Suspected

It is a finding parents will not like to hear, but a new survey indicates nearly every student has been a victim of a bully at some point.

Using a simple questionnaire, researchers surveyed 270 children in grades three through six in two states, nine out of ten students reported being bullied at least once by a peer.

Almost six out of ten said they took part in bullying someone else within the past year.

The survey included physical acts of bullying, along with spreading rumors or excluding someone.
