Country Club Employee Charged with Theft

An Elkhart woman is charged with 29 felonies after police say nearly 200-thousand dollars went missing from an Elkhart Country Club.

Prosecutors say Jeannette Pfaff took money over a period of a year and a half from the Christiana Creek Country Club.

Pfaff was employed as the club as office manager until late October last year.

After that point, the club noticed problems in their books and contacted the sheriff's department.

Pfaff is the wife of former Elkhart Superior Court Judge, Benjamin Pfaff.

Pfaff, you may remember, resigned from the bench in 2005 after pointing a handgun at an 18-year-old while looking for his runaway daughter.
