Regardless of what science says most American doctors agree that religion and spirituality affect a person's health.

That is according to a new survey from the University of Chicago.

It is not just the spirituality of a patient that could influence care; the survey shows that a doctor's religion can also play a role.

Researchers found patients are likely to get different opinions on healthcare based on a physician's religious beliefs.
