New Breast Implants Help Women Feel Normal

Right now, more than two million women in the United States are living with breast cancer.

Many of these women have had major surgery to remove parts or all of their breasts.

When this 38-year-old mother of two was diagnosed with breast cancer, it was important for her to feel like herself again.

She opted for adjustable breast implants.

A deflated implant is placed in the breast and attached to a port.

After surgery doctors can add saline, and then take some away, all without another procedure.

Plastic surgeon Hilton Becker says, “When we tell the patient, you are done, you do not need any more surgery, they are totally delighted.”

The port can stay in the breast for up to a year.

Doctor Becker travels all over the World to teach this technique to surgeons.
